Yarbrough-Tucker
At 6:30 o'clock yesterday evening one of the prettiest of the season's weddings was consummated at the North High-Street Methodist Church, Rev. J. J. Ransom officiating. The contracting parties were Miss Margaret Stockton Tucker and Charles Henry Yarbrough. The bride being an enthusiastic worker in the Epworth League. The members of that society decorated the church for the occasion. The affair through was one of simplicity and daintiness, the church being in pure white and the costume of the lovely bride white organdy over silk. There were no brides-maids, but the following gentlemen acted as ushers: Frederick L. Yarbrough, Walter Campbell, Eugene Hendon and Dr. Leo Freeman.

Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Yarbrough left for a short visit to relatives in Johnsonville. Upon their return they will be home with Mrs. Mary C. Tucker at 1220 North Vine Street. The young couple were both widely known and popular, as was fully testified by the large number of beautiful presents.

BG TUCKER - TB HOSPITAL
Wednesday, June 24, 1936
The Davidson County Tuberculosis Hospital is an institution in which this community takes just pride.
For nineteen years it had been under the direction of Dr. B. G. Tucker and to it he had given some of the best years of his life. When Dr. Tucker, in 1917, took over the superintrendency of the hospital he had some years of experience as county health officer. At the time the hospital had accommodations for nine patients. It is doubtful if a physician of his talents would have been attracted to it except that he possessed vision as well as medical skill and foresaw the growth of the hospital and the need for its expansion to meet the demands which would be made on it throughout the years...
When Dr. Tucker took up his duties at the hospital, the nation's death rate from tuberculosis of the lungs was 124.6 per 100,000. The hospital under Dr. Tucker's administration has expanded until today it has accommodations for more than 250 patients.

JAMES GURLEY TUCKER OBITUARY
The Death Record
February 10, 1896
Nashville Tennessee

The funeral of Mr. James Gurley Tucker took place yesterday morning at 10:-- o'clock from the North High-street Methodist Church. The services were conducted by Revs. T. L. Moody and W. C. Golden. The funeral was one of the most largely attended that has ever occurred in North Nashville. The church was taxed to its utmost to accommodate the throng who wished by their presence to pay a last tribute to the departed. The floral offerings were many and of varied designs, all testifying a sweet remembrance of one who by his kindly deeds and loving heart, won the love and admiration of all who knew him. Among those present were the students of the Medical Department of Vanderbilt University, who attended almost as a body. It required nearly a hundred carriages to take the sorrowing friends to Mt. Olivet where the last sad rites were performed.
